I had planned to post on something completely different today.  It will have to wait until tomorrow.

Kristin, at the Alpine Klein Bunch, posted this video.  I watched it.

Oh. My.

Please do yourself a favor and take a moment to view.  If you text and drive or even talk on the phone and drive, this will stop you dead in your tracks.

I am not being preachy.  In fact, I need a wake-up call in this area.  I am a busy mom and sometimes, the car is the only place I can actually return or make a call. I am constantly looking for ways to trim down my “to do” list and will at times rely on this time to get these things done. What am I thinking?

Thank you for the call, Kristin.

I can’t help but 1) be so sad for the victims and the families but 2) think that this Reggie Shaw is someone’s son.  He is a good kid.  He just made a bad choice.

I have made more bad choices than I care to admit.  I still do.  It could have so easily been any of us.

These are the kinds of things that just reiterate my need to pray protection over my children each and every day.

Protection as victims, yes.  But protection that they are not the perpetrator, too.  I suspect that this boy’s life will be forever altered by the poor decision to text while driving.

I suspect that the victim’s families will forever be altered as well.

Loss for both sides.
