This is the day…

the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

These days I am loving the giggles, the laughter, the joy that emanates from my children.  Admittedly, I might get on them for being “too loud” or “too silly” during dinner, or “too whatever” while whenever, but for the most part, there is nothing sweeter to my ears than the abundant joy that they unabashedly exhibit each day.  What a reminder to me as a curmudgeon-y, old grown-up – to laugh at the small things, to find wonder in an inchworm, to giggle at silly jokes that don’t make sense but are somehow hysterically funny.  They are my teachers, my loves, my rocks.  They stretch me beyond words and they bring some ugly junk of mine to the surface.  They are precious, they are funny, and they are healthy.

They are my children.
