Matthew 14:22-33
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

It’s always fun to hear your voice and see your pretty face. We do need to get that coffee date set up ya know… Thanks for unpacking for us all…what God’s doing in your heart! Hugs!!
Natalie! I so needed this today! I’m so glad that our Lord is understanding…he doesn’t just watch us sink, and give up on us! He reaches down to pull us up! Thanks for the reminder today! Loved your vlog & thanks for linking up at A Steady Rain ;) Have a great weekend!
you are so cute – I miss you!!
You’re right. It’s so easy to close over a verse and not realize it’s implications on our life. I love the verse in Isaiah 40 v. 10B that states : I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. We sometimes forget that Jesus is there hold us up with his right hand. I look forward to reading how God works this verse in your life next week.
PS: After the 90 days, I would definitely be interested in doing a guest post. I should ask you guys to do one fore me at some point to help me get through these 90 days. I feel like I’m ignoring my blog and bloggy friends, but reading the Bible has given me such strength these last few weeks that I know where God wants me to be.
Thank you. I needed to be reminded about this truth today. How amazing is the love of our Saviour?
Gloss? Who me?
I love the how you focused on what Jesus did — rescuing, instead of Peter’s failure. It is so easy to get bogged down in how we stumbled instead of how Jesus pulled us up.
A guest post? Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! Just kidding, but I would really love to guest post for you and you for me!
This is my first time to your site ~ love your title, “Mommy on Fire!” :)
Enjoyed your blog and your many great ideas (i.e. maps and globes ~ love it!). So glad Michelle @ Lost in the Prairies led me your way. I’ll definitely be back!
Blessings to you!
Cindy ;)
His hand IS everywhere! WOW, He has showed me that in a BIG way this week. I LOVED your vlog – thank YOU for sharing your heart. =)
I too have experienced and continue to experience what happens when my focus shifts to the world instead of Jesus. I am so grateful for the tender way He has reached down and pulled me up.
I would be thrilled to be a guest writer on your blog and look forward to connecting with you about it. Please let me know what you’re looking for. I am a “newbie” to your blog, came over from the link up at a steady rain which I found through twitter from the 3 in 30. SO glad I came by! Happy FRIDAY!
Keeping it Personal,

Natalie, you are really good at these F2F Friday’s and vlogging! Honestly, you are.
Love your heart and realness and all of it. This is your gift.
Definitely have been thinking of the ‘wind and waves’ analogies both here and when they wake Him up and He calms…’o you, of little faith.’ Great to be reminded again…
Would love to guest post at some point. Seems like you have some others, so I’ll just be thinking of what might be good for here…I haven’t had anyone Guest Post, but I’ve been thinking about it and what it would look like…definitely, you would be great, I know…so, I’ll let you know that way too! hugs:)
This is such a good passage. Thank you for sharing it.
So nice to meet you, Natalie. Love meeting new blog peeps that are thinkers! I’m your newest Follower.
I like to meditate on this passage… can you imagine this amazing miracle? Walking on water, to me, is right up there with the resurrection and healings.
Bless you!
