Apparently, being buried in writing a book proposal.  It’s been a little quiet over here because 1) I AM going to the She Speaks Conference after all, and 2) I’ve decided to write a book proposal to share with three publishers at the conference.  I don’t know who those publishers will be but I should find out this week – will you please pray that God’s will be done?  I trust Him completely to either point to traditional publishing or ePublishing (as in an eBook that would be available here in the early winter) and am excited for the experience of being able to meet with the traditional publishing houses even if my book isn’t selected to publish.

I’ve missed writing here but…writing a book proposal (which requires two to three chapters of the book to be written as well) and take care of my family and writing on this little blog would be about 36 hours of work and well… I’ve learned the hard way to accept my limits.

I’ll be back regularly soon after She Speaks, which is July 19 through the 22nd.  Prayers are coveted and appreciated so very much – in return, I would be honored to pray for you so if you have any specific requests, send them to me at ncsnapp@gmail.com or leave them in the comment section, please!

So, back to summers…We’re finding they’re for:

Meeting new baby cousins…

and new creatures from the sea…

and the land…

Summers are for racing a big bowl of crabs...

and posing for a photo with Sunburned Willy while naming our crabs (for the record, we picked Antonio, Mia, and Jadon – we’re into the Power Rangers right now)

They’re for hanging at the duck crossing…

and sailing on a real pirate ship with a swarsh-bucklin’ tattoo…

and sea-salty snacks on the beach.

Summers are for dancing in the surf at sunset…

and trying something new…

along with the lesson to get back up when you fall down and try again with gusto.

They’re for jumping waves…

and running your heart out to diffuse the endless supply of “boy” energy…

and, gasp, working together in sibling peace and harmony to build the castle of all castles.

Summers are for taking care of those who are smaller than you…

and sudden outbursts of joy…

and stolen moments under the umbrella.

What about you?  What are you doing this summer?

Joining with Ann today...
