Apparently, being buried in writing a book proposal. It’s been a little quiet over here because 1) I AM going to the She Speaks Conference after all, and 2) I’ve decided to write a book proposal to share with three publishers at the conference. I don’t know who those publishers will be but I should find out this week – will you please pray that God’s will be done? I trust Him completely to either point to traditional publishing or ePublishing (as in an eBook that would be available here in the early winter) and am excited for the experience of being able to meet with the traditional publishing houses even if my book isn’t selected to publish.
I’ve missed writing here but…writing a book proposal (which requires two to three chapters of the book to be written as well) and take care of my family and writing on this little blog would be about 36 hours of work and well… I’ve learned the hard way to accept my limits.
I’ll be back regularly soon after She Speaks, which is July 19 through the 22nd. Prayers are coveted and appreciated so very much – in return, I would be honored to pray for you so if you have any specific requests, send them to me at ncsnapp@gmail.com or leave them in the comment section, please!
So, back to summers…We’re finding they’re for:
Meeting new baby cousins…
and new creatures from the sea…
and the land…
Summers are for racing a big bowl of crabs...
and posing for a photo with Sunburned Willy while naming our crabs (for the record, we picked Antonio, Mia, and Jadon – we’re into the Power Rangers right now)
They’re for hanging at the duck crossing…
and sailing on a real pirate ship with a swarsh-bucklin’ tattoo…
and sea-salty snacks on the beach.
Summers are for dancing in the surf at sunset…
and trying something new…
along with the lesson to get back up when you fall down and try again with gusto.
They’re for jumping waves…
and running your heart out to diffuse the endless supply of “boy” energy…
and, gasp, working together in sibling peace and harmony to build the castle of all castles.
Summers are for taking care of those who are smaller than you…
and sudden outbursts of joy…
and stolen moments under the umbrella.
What about you? What are you doing this summer?
I am so delighted you showed up in my reader….you had been on my heart and I was praying but now I know a few things to pray specifically and that makes me happy.
Praying for you and hoping for you. Have a blast at SheSpeaks! :)
I have missed you so, sweet friend. In fact, I’m going to head to your place in just a moment and check-in on you. I need a good Christy update.
Thank you for praying for me – that means the world to me. I am continuing to pray for you in a few specific areas but I need updates on those so hence why I’m heading over soon! Email me anything specific as I’m honored to lift you up, sweet sister. ncsnapp@gmail.com
Love these pictures….these thoughts…what God is doing in your life….and praying for you.
xxoo
And I LOVE YOU! Thank you, Lyn. You inspire and guide me.
Saying a prayer for you now! I’m excited to see what God has in store for you and your writing. Can’t wait for an update! Have you connected with some others in TheHighCalling.org community and other online communities who are also going?
Hi, Jennifer! Thank you so much for reading but most of all, for your intercession! I have not spent a ton of time in TheHighCalling but after I get out from under this writing frenzy, I plan to be more present in the online community. Thank you for giving me encouragement to start there!
I’m so excited that you have the opportunity to share your book proposal with three different publishers! I’ll be praying for you and that your book will be published in whichever way He sees fit.
Thanks, Ashley! Get ready for next year!!!
Nat, for some reason, I am still not receiving email notices of your blog. I tried to re-subscribe, but it says that I’m already subscribed. Any other suggestions?
P.S. I love you.
Kat, let me see what I can do. You DO know that I don’t have very good tech skill, don’t you? I’ll still try.
P.S. I love you, too.
Praying for you girl! This is a gut wrenching pour out your heart on the page journey I know. But I believe God is in it! You will catch glimpse of it along the way!
Hugs!
I KNOW you KNOW. Thank you for your encouragement, sister. You continually bless me!
Such precious pictures of my little ones! I can just hear their laughter as they are jumping In the waves! What three little blessings God has given us! Xoxoxo
YES! We are quite excited to see Mimi on Friday – the birthday boy has chosen Madagascar…Love you!
Hi Dear Friend,
I am praying She Speaks does great for you. You are an amazing and talented writer. Your words always speak to me and I love the humor you bring to REAL LIFE issues. I sure miss seeing your smiley face on a regualar basis. Best wishes Natalie!
Love, Collette
Thank you SO much, Collette! The feelings are so very mutual because I completely miss seeing you, too. I CANNOT believe I somehow missed the news of your graduation but oh my word! I’m so excited for you, sister. You’ve worked so hard for that and somehow, you managed to get your PhD AND give birth to THREE children while doing so? I’m in awe of you, girlfriend. Congratulations!!!!
