This song has touched me for a while but, truthfully, I sort of forgot about it. I’ve been immersed in Bethel Live/Jesus Culture Land but today, I step off the path. For a bit.
As I was praying over what to share for Worship Wednesday, I was led to the song that every single one of us needs to hear. Imagine my delight when I found a version on YouTube in which lead singer, Mike Weaver, shares the story behind the song.
Ever feel like you aren’t who Jesus says you are? Yeah, me too.
Give yourself a gift today and listen to Mike’s story (about one minute) and then really marinate in the words of his song.
Because you and me . . . We are redeemed. The old has gone, the new has come.
Praising Him today for new mercies each morning.
What are you praising Him for today?
I think you may have forgotten to attach the song? :) gonna go to YouTube to find it. Motherhood definitely causes me to feel like I am not who Christ says am. Need to soak Truths of song in.
I’m so sorry, Rachel! It’s here now – I don’t know what happened as it was there last night when I scheduled the post. Goodness…Technology. Hope you are doing well!!!
And yes, motherhood brings our stuff the surface pretty quickly, doesn’t it?
The enemy likes to attack us where we feel it the most and for many of us, attacking our mothering is incredibly personal.
Truth comes in handy in those moments when I feel like surely I am screwing my kids up big time…:)
Thanks for commenting, Rachel!
Oh my….Amen and Amen….beautiful, thank you for sharing. Redeemed, what a beautiful word.
