“The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach—waiting for a gift from the sea.”
― Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Gift from the Sea
Love this quote from one of my all time favorite books! What a great quote for such a photo that captured in time a very special moment by the sea! Gift from the Sea is such a beautiful book with so much wisdom. Wouldn’t it be great to run off to the beach absolutely alone for a bit?!!!
It’s my favorite book as well, Mary Elisa! Want to know something kind of fun??
My family and I are vacationing on the island where she penned that great book!!! All of the photos I’m posting this week are from Captiva Island, Florida.
Thank you for reading and commenting!!!
