Umm . . . yeah. It’s true.
I’m giving away a Kindle Fire HD this week because I have a very dear friend who donated one for this very cause. I know. She’s amazing. I think so, too.
I don’t usually do a whole lot of giveaways but I thought it might be a fun way to celebrate the new place so let’s call it a housewarming party instead of a giveaway, ok?
Next week, we’ll giveaway some other housewarming gifts but this week, we’re focusing on the Big Daddy.
I don’t have a Kindle Fire myself but I do have a Nook.
When they first emerged on the market three years ago (or maybe four? I can’t keep track of details like that) I wondered if an old-school, book-lovin’ girl who smells the pages of novels could really replace that crisp paper smell with, gasp, an electronic device.
JJ bought me one and I fell in love. That was three Nooks ago. I’m hooked.
Can I just tell you how much I love laying in my cozy bed and purchasing a book at 11:30 p.m.? Can you possibly fathom the excitement of getting to download a sample of a book to see if I want to purchase it? Do you have any idea how wonderful it is that no one must know of my love for People magazine unless I tell them?
I love e-readers, oh yes I do.
So here’s the deal . . .
There are indeed some hoops you can choose to jump through that will get you more entries. I have a hard time with this so be gentle with my heart here. I don’t like to solicit Facebook likes and Twitter and Pinterest followers but alas, it’s part of this world now. As in, if you want to be a writer, you must do things like this now and then to raise awareness of who you even are in a very loud and crowded world called the Internet.
I thank you for your grace.
Rafflecopter will ultimately pick our winner but he/she/it will also talk you through this process, too.
But here’s an overview:
1. Like “Natalie Chambers Snapp, Author and Speaker” on Facebook and you receive 10 extra points.
2. Subscribe via email and receive 10 extra points. (See the orange-ish button in the sidebar in the upper right? Enter your email addy and you’re good to go!)
3. Follow @nataliesnapp on Twitter and you receive 5 extra points.
4. Leave a comment and tell me what the first book you would download would be and receive 5 extra points.
You MUST do these things through Rafflecopter because he/she/it’s the one who will be picking . . .
So, again . . . You do not HAVE to do all of the above options – it just increases your chances if you do. You do, however, have to pick at least one because that’s how you’ll be entered in the giveaway. Are you with me? You can reach me at ncsnapp at gmail dot com (must write it this way because of crazy spammers).
Best of luck to you, sweet friends. I wish I could give one to each of you – but I think that might anger my husband a bit and, as you know, I’m all about marital peace.
You’ll have until November 1 at midnight. I’ll announce the winner sometime Friday afternoon.
Enjoy the start to our little housewarming party!

I would probably download a book purely for entertainment, like a history subject or a good novel. Not about being a stepmom or healthy cooking or Stephe n Leadership. ;-)

I'd probably download all the books I have floating in the cloud – probably close to 500 books, classics, herbs/essential oils, some historical fiction. Our daughters use our current Kindle, so I don't download my books there. My husband has our Amazon account set up so I can download things to my iPhone. Having my *own* Kindle would be great!
I have been anxious to read Bill O’reilly’s book Killing Jesus. It would be first!
Any book by Nicholas Sparks!
